Fire Safety Education

Canby Fire District believes in its values of Serve, Educate, Train and Protect. One of the most important elements we can provide our community is an aggressive fire and life safety public education program. Although we provide education programs throughout the community, our flagship education program occurs in our schools. The Fire District’s goal is to reach every classroom, grades 1 through 6, with in-classroom interactive education. The students from Eccles Lee, Knight, Trost, and Ninetyone  are challenged with a fast paced educational program and a take home assignment to share with their family. Then, the students participate in a school wide contest.

The Kindergartener’s either receive a learning based fire station tour, or a at school appearance of their firefighters, showing off their firefighting apparatus and special equipment.
