Inspections and Fire Plans Review

Our Community Risk Reduction (CCR) Division performs plans reviews for businesses prior to construction to ensure compliance with the Oregon Fire Code (OFC), emergency vehicle access, and life and safety compliance. Canby Fire District currently uses Ordinance #21-001 for cost recovery for Inspections and Plan Review.

According to the 2022 Oregon Fire Code Section 505.1, "Numbers shall not be spelled out. Each character shall be not less than 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 1/2 inch (12.7 mm). Where required by the fire code official, address identification shall be provided in additional approved locations to facilitate emergency response."

Recommended address size may change, depending on commercial building size. Please contact Canby Fire with specific questions.
